Following Hugh Kingsmill Moore presentation at Imagine H2O Asia in Singapore Paul Wisdom and Elizabeth Morgan had the privilege to be invited to Rochem Separation Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. in India to demonstrate the capabilities of the Soneco® system. Rochem identified our solution as an option to replace existing equipment in their client's treatment processes.
A number of potential waste streams from industries within India were bought to Rochem’s R&D facility in Mumbai. Paul and Lizzie set up our Soneco® benchtop reactor to evaluate the performance of the various samples. Results were promising with over 60 % removal in COD and over 80% removal of turbidity.
Rochem Separation Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. were very hospitable and gave an opportunity for a tour around the facility and provided typical Indian cuisine for lunch, with a great tour of their laboratory!
We’ve now trained Rochem R&D staff on the benchtop reactor and left it in their capable hands, they plan to continue analysing various other waste streams to showcase our capabilities. Next steps are to establish full scale size solutions which can be implemented on their clients' sites – watch this space for updates!
